OUR HISTORY

For over 60 years, the Pentecostal Faith Assembly Church (PFAC) has served the city of Philadelphia with excellence! We are a church in the heart of the city, with the city at heart.
It’s a tremendous blessing to serve, fellowship and share the love of Jesus Christ! If you are looking for a place of worship where the Word of God is preached along with powerful worship services and a warm greeting, then come and visit us! You’ll be glad you came.

OUR PASTOR

Suffragan Bishop Brenda L. Cuthbertson has faithfully served as pastor of our congregation for over 23 years. She is a dynamic leader, a prolific preacher and an humble community servant.
 
Pastor Cuthbertson completed her License and Ordination through Aenon Bible College of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. Her preaching ministry began in 1970. In 1993, after the transition of our founding pastor, Pastor Helen Campbell, the congregation elected Pastor Cuthbertson to the pastorate. In the year 2000, Pastor Cuthbertson was elevated as the 1st female District Elder of the Pennsylvania diocese of the PAW Inc. In 2010, she became the first female Chairperson of the Pennsylvania diocese and in 2013, she was consecrated to the office of Suffragan Bishop by her Diocesan Bishop. Outside of the church, Pastor Cuthbertson sits on at least three boards for other community organizations.
 
Pastor Cuthbertson is the wife of Elder Frederick Cuthbertson and together they are the parents of two daughters who also serve in ministry with them.
 
Her favorite verse is Psalm 42:1 “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God.”
